Before Pole Banner Systems, we were a commercial signage team — designing, supplying, and installing signage for municipalities, BIAs, schools, universities, property managers, and contractors across Canada. Pole banner programs crossed our desks constantly. And the same thing kept happening.
Smart, organized people would call ready to go — and get stuck the moment they tried to actually buy the system.
The problem was never the customer
It was how they were expected to buy. Pole banners live as a single line in someone else's giant catalogue — sold by people who had never hung one. The knowledge that would have saved these buyers a week of emails existed. It just wasn't anywhere they could reach it.
So we stopped accepting that
If the people who understood these systems weren't the ones selling them, that was the thing to fix. We took everything years of signage work had taught us and built a company around a single idea.
