We didn't come from marketing. We came from job sites.
Pole Banner Systems is new. The hands behind it are not. We're the commercial signage team at Elevated Signs — people who have spent years designing, supplying, and installing signage for municipalities, BIAs, schools, universities, property managers, and contractors across Canada. Pole banner programs were never a side note in that work. They were part of it, season after season.
The realization crept up on us
It didn't arrive all at once. It built, one project at a time.
After enough banner programs, one pattern was impossible to miss: the people running them were capable and prepared — and the way they had to buy was working against them.
The right hardware was scattered or buried online. Guidance was thin. Parts that looked alike didn't fit the same poles. We watched good programs stall — not because of the teams behind them, but because of a buying process no one had ever bothered to fix.
And the longer we watched, the more one thought refused to leave: the people who understood these systems best weren't the ones selling them. That knowledge lived on the trucks and the job sites — not in the catalogues customers were ordering from.
